and mom was attempting to nuzzle it back underneath her belly

on one of the final mornings of the excursion

so I was very happy to get this shot

I was no more than fifteen yards away as the owl came in for a mouse and watched in amazement as the it overshot by mere inches! A lucky day for the mouse!
