Planxty - Planxty [LP] Trip Hop The Great Gig In TheIn 1972 when Planxty recorded this their first album Irish music all at once moved in an extraordinary and excitingnew direction! The magnificent body of traditional music compiled over many centuries changed it's wardrobe and soon wasclothed with new harmonies and rhythms bred of cross breading with input from contemporary constructs, foreign cultures, and instruments never before employed in the music like bouzouki, mandolin, and even hurdygurdys.
