This label was made especially for Handy Pandy which was produced by Deans at the time of the arrival of the giant Pandas at London Zoo in 1938

Although similar to the Chad Valley bear designs of the 1920s cork filled bears have some wonderful early features

Sold (1930) Gretchen Minibrix Showcased by Sue Howard Date:Gretchen is a 1930 antique pink German mohair teddy bear in excellent condition. She used to be a pink teddy but is faded to a silver grey. She is 21" long, with jointed arms, legs and head. She has a growler but it no longer works. She has an exaggerated hump on her back and other very similar features to a Bing teddy bear. She has leg seams at the front and back and a front final seam. She has pink felt pads, three sewn claws on each hand and foot,
