City Street, New Haven original art I came upon this pond

I came upon this pond at dusk

It has an endless variety of "clothing" it wears throughout the year

To me the painting shows our deep love and connection to each other that has sustained us for the past 67 years

This is from a series of hand-painted photographs which create an interesting juxtaposition between thick marks of the oil and the detailed photographic image

and feel that it captures the joyous abundance of flowers and friendship that evening

City Street, New Haven original art I came upon this pondThis is a watercolor made from an early street photograph I took decades ago. The figures and background merge, freezing an ordinary moment in time. Who are these people? So much life contained in this moment.
