Decided to listen to the forecast and head out to catch the sunset

It wasn't long before I reached the area of wildflowers I wanted to photograph

A spectacular sunrise with magical lighting

spires and a wide expanse of mixed grasses

I reached the bridge that crosses over the South Fork Kishwaukee River shortly after leaving the lake in which I looked back and seen this beautiful view of the colorful sky with the bridge and the peachleaf willow tree that I have come to enjoy photographing and seeing along my hikes in the park
