I came across these soft cattails that were starting to break apart exposing the seed fluff which was being backlit by the late afternoon winter sun

I was thinking where I would photograph the sunrise and thought that the bridge over a frozen South Fork Kishwaukee River and the peachleaf willow tree would be a good place to set up the tripod

There is beauty in every season
