As luck would have it, when Lukas decided to venture on his own to start his label Van Loggereneberg Wines, "break a leg" was taken somewhat literal. To offset some medical bills a bunch of friends clubbed together to buy the wine in support the name stuck and Lukas is still making some of the best Chenin, Cinsault and Cab Franc in the country.
