They are translucent crystal opals and Australian in origin
If not made in Germany it's borrowing heavily from the Jugendstil style which tends to consist of flowing lines but is very often symmetrical and/or angular as opposed to the French style which is more organic and free flowing
there is one small area of blistering to one enamel piece - this looks to have happened in the manufacturing process rather than caused later but please make up your own mind
Condition: Excellent - if there are any little bits you can see in the stone that's just dust
Georgian / Early Victorian Maltese Cross Citrine Gold Cruciform Pendant wedding_necklace Materials: TurquoiseDescription: Beautifully simple and timeless devotional cross (and or a wearable, pretty pendant). Citrine was used in jewellery as the stone of abundance as it was thought to attract wealth. Wouldn't that be handy! Age: c1830 1860 The crimped collet settings are a typical Georgian feature but this method was used well beyond this. Georgian pieces of this sort are typically closed backed and foiled so this is likely a little later. Size and weight: 4.
