The restaurant was probably pretty expensive at the time

There is also a small puncture in the leather handle but I believe this is actually from a leather punch and likely a defect from the manufacturer

Working FF33 1938 field All pieces are in overallOriginal, tested and working, FF33 Feldfernsprecher field telephone. It is complete with a decent handset and a crank. The crank is a little unusual, the shape of the knob is a bit more like earlier versions. It still has the Bakelite battery box. There is a small crack on the lid near the hinge which doesn't effect the function and is barely noticeable. The speaker and microphone kapsel are newer made.
