Lion Loose, 1940 Burr Singer Central CaliforniaA California fine art gicle print on premium watercolor paper. The story behind this dramatic piece that I was told since early childhood is that a lion got loose from a circus cage and roamed the streets of L. A. for a while. I guess it was a big news item there for a couple of days until the lion was retrieved and returned to his cage. Evidently it caught my father's imagination. Courtesy of son, Ian Patrick
