Before becoming The Village Within the City, Roscoe Village was known for its treasured amusement park, Riverview Park. Riverview Park opened in 1903 and delighted visitors from across the world for over 60 years. The Bobs roller coaster, perhaps its most popular attraction, boasted an 85 foot drop and speeds of over 50 miles per hour between 1924 and 1967.
