The stitching is fairly rotten and appears to have started blowing out even when it was still in active use as there is some thick black thread along the bottom seam
This particular mushroom is known in German as gluckspilz (which literally means “lucky mushroom”)
If I had to guess I would say the photo is probably pre 1934 which makes this pretty interesting

It is in good used condition and I would say its also still in usable condition. A good reenactment pack. Still nice enough to be collectible, but also used enough to not feel bad taking it to events. Its strikes that perfect balance.
