The buttons are fabric with a yarn-like feel (I am guessing they have been replaced) and there is an extra button sewn inside
but some of the cast aluminum items from the thirties have a surprisingly modern appearance and design so it may very well be older

Aluminum Food Container German Cheap & Cheerful The side zipper has someGerman aluminum food container, kind of like the Tupperware of its time. No markings. These existed before, during and after the war, so I am unsure when this is from. In fairly good condition with some light wear and slight dents. It has a rubber gasket in nice shape. Just needs a little cleaning.
