It was found with a number of other random notebooks and mirrors and were probably originally kept by the company as samples or were just the extras from a production run

It is rather beefy for Bakelite so it should be durable. It has a very nice pebbled pattern on the lid. It looks like there was probably a picture or logo once glued to the inside of the lid but now there is just some glue residue.
