It is a metal tray with a yellow/gold color felt pad and a stretchy cloth covered chain strap to firmly hold the coaster on

There is some wear to the finish and some dents

Small Orange Bakelite Kienzle Container reproduction Hips - 49"Period German small orange Bakelite container marked Martin Kaindl Kienzle Nrnberg. I am not entirely sure what this would have been for. It has a quarter turn opening and the style of the body is very reminiscent of the butter dish (albeit smaller). There is some damage to the lid with some cracking, but this doesn't seem to go through.
