but it still has a habit of feeling different each time I come back to it

I've lived on this Estate for over almost 20 years now and this painting

bringing a sense of fun and mischief to the work (so much so that I'd be surprised if most peoples first response upon seeing the painting wasn't to smile

Beach, 2 By the water almost as part of the20 x 20 cm I've always enjoyed the work of my old art college tutor, Alberto Morrocco (especially his paintings of families relaxing on some Mediterranean beach) and this painting is very much a nod in his direction. Like Alberto, Im giving the viewer an invitation to join in a lazy, sun baked day at the beach.
