This kit has been designed to convert to the more commonly available 10mm diameter valve shim. This allows easy sourcing of shim sizes to suit modified engines, and a slight reduction in valvetrain mass. This kit will allow for re shimming of engines using OEM cams with OEM lobe base circle diameter, or cams which have been re profiled and on a smaller base circle diameter.
