black fishing rod and reel Abu Garcia Max Baitcast Combo, 6'6 inch Medium Rod, Right/Left Handed this combo offers a smooth and reliable performance Carbon X & Carbon R1

Sliding baits involves casting out a large wired surf sinker on a combo rigged with mono main line, and clipping on a non-return pier slider and rig , and then letting the bait and rig slide down the line to the sinker on the ocean floor

The centerpiece of this combo is the low-profile Black Max 3 Baitcast Reel

Designed with a paddle tail, these swimbaits produce a natural swimming motion that mimics live bait, making them a great choice for anglers targeting bass feeding on schools of smaller fish

For deep cranking applications, many anglers choose a low gear ratio, but for squarebills, Ive found a higher gear ratio really allows me the option to burn the bait along the bank, or slow down my reeling cadence if I want to crawl it
