The steps for execution of this drill are: Step 1- Defensive linemen partner up and get engaged with offensive linemen Step 2- The offensive lineman puts all weight on the defensive lineman who is not locked out Step 3- The defensive lineman locks arms out on the offensive lineman who is creating resistance Step 4- The defensive lineman collapses arms and then locks out again Step 5- After the second lockout the defensive Lineman executes a shrug escape As previously discussed, this skill set can be installed through a series of drills to bring a complete understanding of the execution and application of the Lockout, Peek and Escape techniques
